Telegram Messenger to Officially Launch TON Network in Late October

Encrypted messaging service Telegram will launch its long-awaited Telegram Open Community (TON) in late October.

In an Oct. 2 message within the official TON Board on Telegram, the agency states that authentic traders had been knowledgeable that the blockchain community would launch later this month. 

Traders are supplied with TON key era software program and can be required to offer Telegram with a public key to obtain their Gram (GRM) tokens — the platform’s native token — by Oct. 16th. The complete supply code for TON is now obtainable on Github. 

The message states that the launch follows a profitable testing stage. 

In early September, Telegram launched the TON testnet explorer and node software program, adopted by an alpha model of a Gram token pockets for iOS. 

Ethereum compatibility and sensible contracts on TON

The community will purportedly be suitable with the Ethereum community, permitting customers to port their Ethereum sensible contracts over to TON. Software program startup TON Labs, which is managed by Telegram’s token providing traders, is reportedly growing a Solidity compiler for its blockchain. Solidity is a programming language is primarily used to develop sensible contracts on Ethereum.
